All my life, I’ve lived within a mile of the Thames or one of its tributaries. And now, living in the heart of London, I am closer than ever to the river that runs through our capital city. By writing every couple of weeks or so, I will try to unlock some of the stories swirling around our mysterious, lovely, beguiling, dangerous, and ever-changing river as its tides ebb and flow from Teddington Lock to the sea.
I have already met such interesting people but special thanks must go to Wal Daly-Smith, who continues to help me, trusted me with his story and gave me the confidence to embark on this adventure.
